Nordic European Mobility-Sweden
Nordic European Mobility, hereinafter NEM, was born in December 2015 from a youth initiative with the mission of involving youth in the educational, cultural and social life of the communities they belong to. NEM seeks for ensuring that young people are empowered to develop the skills and confidence to fully participate as active citizens in an inclusive society. NEM firmly believes that an active and responsible involvement of youth into the social, cultural and educational life of their communities can be achieved through development programs and activities. At the same time, we are convinced that the capability of young people to be very creative and spontaneous represents the key for a better future for Europe. NEM aims all kind of people, no matter their gender, age or ethnic background. NEM is convinced that being exposed to different cultures and gaining knowledge on them is the best way to reach peace and a better understanding among people from different countries and backgrounds. Along its three years of life, NEM has carried out all kind of activities such as: • Conferences, as the “International Conference of Social Youth Workers that Work with Youth with Few Opportunities, (Europe based), one. • Seminars on youth immigrants (Sweden based) and training for immigrant youth workers (Stockholm based). • Workshops, trainings, fundraising, youth exchanges, partnership building, forums, awareness campaigns, youth initiatives. • Youth exchange in EU countries among youth immigrants and young people descendants of immigrants. Along with this, NEM has specialized itself in many others fields, as for example: • Entrepreneurship • Active citizenship leadership • Volunteering • Non-formal learning • Social inclusion.
